(Anonymous) 2016-04-16 07:04 am (UTC)(link)My bf likes her music. I heard about her on f!s long before I heard her music, and it's probably affected the way I see her music, but...
man, I just do not like that conjoined twin schtick. It strikes me as the kind of thing a 14-year-old goth might draw in their notebook. Like, trying really hard to be edgy, but just by pulling out random edgy elements to get a rise out of people as opposed to using anything personal and raw to make art.
And then there was her song about pubic hair... I guess it was okay. It just feels like less expression of self and more a desperate bid to be radical.
I tend to like those quirky female singer/songwriters like Emilie Autumn or Poe or whatever, so I feel like she SHOULD be up my alley, but I just can't.
