(Anonymous) 2016-04-17 06:28 am (UTC)(link)'Cuz right now I feel like I'm telling a teacher someone's being a bully and they're giving me excuses. Blitzy is disruptive, full stop. Every Blitzy post causes wank, full stop. There are a lot of us and only one Blitzy. You might convince some of us to stop replying to Blitzy, but I don't see how you expect to convince all of us to suddenly start ignoring Blitzy when we can't even ignore 0/10 trollposts from other anons. If you really want to be fair to the named and anon users who AREN'T shitposters, you remove the disruption. You do it all the time with anonymous comments, what makes Blitzy so special?

But the second thing, sure. I'll keep a closer eye on those threads and will remove the ones that seem more disruptive. (For the record, "Hillary Clinton is terrible" is controversial, but not necessarily a trollpost - and anons did directly ask blitzwing for sources yesterday. But if an argument ensues and things get personal, sure.)

Oh, now that's just a ridiculous level of exaggeration. I post here all the time about fandom-y stuff and 99.9% of the time no one bats an eye at those posts, or even responds to them at all. Same with a lot of my politics comments even, tbh. Like none of my comments on phonebanking for Bernie have caused any problems or negativity. Some of my political opinions are weird, but they're not shitposts--most of my beliefs are rooted in academic research I've done, even if you'll only find the kind of stuff I base it on in Women's Studies classes or niche fields.
Just because a belief is unusual doesn't mean it's a shitpost or a trollpost.
