These things look so ugly, I don't get the appeal. Nendoroids on the other hand are super cute and I'm glad now there are Nendos of Western characters too.

Nendoroids are my favorite, but I can't justify spending money on them these days anymore (or action figures in general, too). Way too much of a luxury for me, but just by looking at them, you can tell they're worth the cost.

Budget, probably. Funko Pops are on average about $9-10, Nendoroids are $30-50, give or take, since they're imports.

They might be good shit, but good shit normally is not cheap.

It sure would suck to have to choose only one. Fortunately, I have money, and could buy both the Nendoroid AND the Pop of my favorite characters. You know, if they made them. Which they don't.

Nendoroids are more detailed and that's great, but Pops are cute also.

Not everyone is made of money dude. Have you seen some of the prices they go for??
Also, while I love nendoroids and do want one someday, they tend to only limited to anime, and not all of my fandoms are related to that.

They have nendos of everyone from Iron Man to Genos from One Punch Man to Seragaki Aoba from Dramatical Murder, and a whole bunch of stuff in between.

I'm personally more of a figma guy though, and if you want to talk about endless, irritating moe same-y figures and 8 million iterations of Hatsune Miku, look no further than the figma line. I nearly shat myself when they came out with Shizuo and Izaya from Durarara!!, male figmas that aren't GIANT HULKING MANBEAST bodytypes are so damn rare.

That's why the only Funko figure I got was Undertaker from Kuroshitsuji because his hair covers his eyes. But I do have a Nendoroid too, which I love because he is super cute.
