Dr. Hilbert from Wolf 359. I don't want him to become everyone's friend*, but I want to see the slow transition that has already started to continue, and for him to go from the enemy of everyone's enemy to someone the rest of the "real" crew is shocked to discover that they genuinely trust.

*Okay, maybe I am totally on board for him developing a weird sort of friendship with Eiffel that maaaaybe turns into something else way down the road, but that goes into the 'in fic but not in canon' territory.

By the way, what did you think of the newest episode. I was so mad at the end (not going into details in case you have not listened).

(Lord, at this point there is literally no piece of media that I am more adamant about keeping up with than this show.)

I had a feeling it was going to happen, but I didn't expect it to be so soon, or for Kepler to make a threat display out of it. I was expecting more of a throwaway line about getting rid of it, something to make the new team more ruthlessly callous than flat-out evil.

Every episode my distress over the fact that I can't reach through my iPod and hug Hera grows worse.

(Annnnd I may or may not be plotting non-smutty "gradual transition into weird friendship" fic based around the comment about Hilbert weighing in on Eiffel's condition. Because sometimes you have to tell someone about just how crazy you're going, and it might as well be the doctor who's not going to tell anyone and whose opinion of you is less important to you than everyone else's.)

I wish there was more fic about Eiffel's condition (he mentioned still not having fingernails).

I was so mad about that. I was hoping the plant monster would end up being part of their plan to take the station back. :( It just wanted to be left alone!

At least Hera is in less pain! Though she is still in a precarious position.

The fingernails thing just gets me so hard. It's such a visceral detail, and it just makes you wonder what else is going wrong under the skin.

Yes, I was definitely hoping for the plant monster to find an opportune time to drop on someone's head. (I also recently found this story, which was probably really sweet when it was written but is just crushing now: http://archiveofourown.org/works/6461890)

I am so waffle-y on how much I trust or don't trust Maxwell. I think she genuinely prioritizes Hera's well-being over all her other concerns right now, but I don't know how long that will last or how far her opinion on what's good for Hera is going to deviate from Hera's own over time.

I think she cares about Hera. But I also think she has no problem changing Hera's brain to meet her needs.

That's a good way to put it, yeah.
