I used to ask people questions about their religion before I realized it was taboo. Which is actually kind of sad, in a way, because I never meant anything by it - I was raised in a fairly religiously neutral family (although we celebrated Christian holidays) and meant it quite innocently. It wasn't until I was older that I realized some people... did not mean it so innocently.

I wish it was taboo where I lived. it's the first question a lot of people ask in this country and I'm an atheist and don't really feel like telling people I just met.
