Not all nuts are dark! I'd say my skin is the color of a peanut.

Plus, white people can literally be "brown" if we are going by color, just like "black" people can have extremely light skin.

Peanuts aren't nuts. They are legumes.

(Anonymous) 2016-04-20 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
they have nut in the name and they are always in the bags of mixed nuts.

That is an extraordinarily stupid argument. Well done!

splitting hairs can not be done at a stupider time... than when discussing metaphors

(Anonymous) 2016-04-20 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
Lol, this, thank you. :)

Strawberries are nuts though. If I stay in the sun for just a little while, this is another type of nut my skin tone resembles!

(Anonymous) 2016-04-20 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
Can't believe I'm saying this, but the strawberry as a whole is not a nut, however, the tiny little things all over the red flesh *are* nuts!
Amazing. And this whole secret and discussion is beyond hilarious.

I know but it fit the discussion so well XD

Neither are almonds while we're at it.

haha this.

One of my highschool friends was a black-latina mix, and when we came back from holidays we'd compare our tans. Im white but it turns out my skin was browner than hers because she went north with her family while I went to the beach with mine. It's not the skin tone alone that makes people appear a certain race.

I'm a big fan of Nappy the Great on YouTube and frankly I've got darker skin than he does. I'm white and he's black. His mother is SUPER light.
