Re: Movies you've watched knowing they are bad

This is me. I buy bad werewolf movies on purpose because I write werewolf fiction and I figure "if someone got paid for that piece of crap, well, I should get paid for my stuff too, because it is not crap." "Werewolf in a Girl's Dormitory," anyone? So awful, and yet, not for any of the reasons you'd expect.

Well, sometimes you just want to watch something to laugh, and for me bad movies will do that more reliably than anything that's actually meant to be a comedy.

It's not really mean-spirited so much as finding humour in stuff that's outright ridiculous.

lol

Another werewolf writer (I started writing something, idk if I'll ever actually finish, you're probably a lot more serious than I am about it). My figuring was that all of the other monsters get the hype, and what do the werewolves get? Nothing. No love. No good writing/fictional portrayals.

And then there's corny ass movies like "Gingersnaps" (1 & 2 ), "The Covenant" (no transformations, wtf, although I was down for all the shirtless hot guys), and "Never Cry Werewolf" (which I actually liked? I need some fic of that...). So I too figure I might as well try to write the werewolf equivalent of Frankenstein and hope I don't come off pretentious.

Good luck, anon! Carry the torch!

Hey, I resent that! Ginger Snaps is actually decent.
