I always feel extra bad when things like this happen. Prince was waaaay more well known and I am much more sad about his passing overall, but Chyna was a trailblazer for women's wrestling and for the different bodies women can have. How many people realized that a muscular woman could be attractive when they saw her?

Yeah a co-worker was reading the news on her phone and said, "Prince is dead! And Chyna, from wrestling!" But we all heard it as, "Prince is dead in China from wrestling." and were REALLY confused.

Honestly shocked at this news. Seriously, 2016, what the hell?

I already saw cornflake pissing start at ONTD, but then, they're pro pissers anyway.

Prince was one of the most influential and prolific rock/R&B artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. Purple Rain was not only his sixth album but the Academy Award winning soundtrack to the film of the same name, an absolutely iconic rock opera starring him.

A master showman and absolutely INSANE musician, concerts were events like none other, with curtain call encores going up to even a half dozen extra calls. He rode a wave of complicated, raw sexuality that to the end was his visual trademark.

In the 90's or so, he became a Jehovah's Witness and withdraw from some of the sexiest aspects of his work, but continued to perform and create like a motherfucking juggernaut.

Took on the recording companies for ownership of his own stuff, at one point being known only by an unpronounceable symbol and appearing at his shows with the word SLAVE painted across his face.

An absolute icon, a musical counterpart to David Bowie, and missed just as much.

One of the most prolific and electrifying popular musicians ever.

Sad and surprising. He had been ill lately, but I didn't realize that it was this serious.

Either flu or AIDS depending on the source you believe. Either way, completely sucks.

It's rumored he had HIV and some religious people had convinced him he was cured so he stopped taking meds. Then the flu came in.

I'm sort of shocked cause he was an icon and he was not very old, but I must admit I never really got that much into his music.

Prince was really just such a big deal to me when I was younger. He played with sexuality in a way that was just so great. I'm sad to see him go.

I saw him in concert in the 90s. It was phenomenal. He is severely underrated as a guitar player. I'm just sad that he won't be creating any more music.
