Vegebul. I didn't get the ship as a kid and I still don't get it. What makes matters worse is that 99% of the fics are widely ooc portraying Vegeta as some pained, tragic figure and Bulma as some delicate maiden who gets smacked around by Yamcha everyday of the week. Of course, I can't say this on tumblr because someone is either gonna bitch about it, or make some dumb "let's not post ship hate uwu" post. God. Let me vent on my damn blog.

Well obviously. But in my opinion it's still a shitty pairing even though it's canon--it happened because Toriyama hates writing romance and he needed another Saiyan. If the fans were not so obnoxious about it I probably would not give two shits about it, but asking for that in the dbz fandom is like asking for the moon.

I love fic where Bulma is a boss bitch and Vegeta is a proper asshole, but I cannot begin to understand why fic writers always need the previous significant other to be an abusive cock to justify them being put to the left. Like, why couldn't the relationship have ended with them growing up and drifting apart, and nobody's the bad guy, for once?
