I can't believe there's people who enjoy stuff like age difference. If the characters you ship are over two months old apart from each other then there is a clear age difference between them and therefore a clear power imbalance. I can't believe people don't find this kind of thing problematic. :/

In all seriousness, haha Christ. I tend to ignore those kind of posts because they tend to be ridiculous. And at least they should get the term correctly and say Ephebophilia or something. Not that it makes the PSA better but... For the sake of sanity, better ignore them.

LOL someone was starting wank in my fandom because the popular pairing is about 12 years apart in age. They were claiming that everyone who shipped it were pedophiles even though in the game they are both adults. Crazy shit.

Hah! Dude, my parents are 20 years apart (got married as adults, etc, etc) so whenever this whole "it's pedophilia omg :(((" stuff comes up I just laugh it off. I mean, why not just openly hate the ship instead of coming up with excuses on how it's unhealthy/wrong whatever?

Actually I guess the answer is that it's easier to guilt trip people into agreeing with you than actually openly hating on something and be seen as the bad guy. GENIUS.
