I always thought that if you took the characters seriously, a series about these three could actually be a very wonderful examination of what it means to be Other, and to go against the ideals of your culture. All of them are doing it in different ways, right down to Strax the Sontaran nurse helping other species (what happens when his unit come to punish him for disgracing their race?). The Victorian setting seems well suited to such a theme, it could practically be Penny Dreadful for kids.

I'm still really, really excited for Class though. A TV show by Patrick Ness? We aren't even worthy.
