1) Sequence is awesome(https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2375/sequence). Upwords is Scrabbl-ish (https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1515/upwords). I really like Dominoes, though I wouldn't exactly consider it a board game.

2) If you like charades, there is Charoodles (https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/19531/charoodles). Electronic Catch Phrase is a lot of fun and doesn't actually have a board (https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/135262/electronic-catch-phrase).

3) Timeline Music & Cinema might work (https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/145189/timeline-music-cinema).

Oh! Upwords looks like a perfect game. We love Scrabble.

Timeline looks like it could be fun if you get 1-2 expansions. But I will have to see how interested they are in it.
