Re: Theatrical Cut vs Director's Cut/Extended Edition
(Anonymous) 2016-04-25 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)The extended editions of the Hobbit movies were basically pointless.
Only see the Director's Cut of Dark City. The theatrical version gives away the whole twist at the very beginning.

(Anonymous) 2016-04-25 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)This is making me realize that I haven't sat down to watch any of the movies all the way through without a break since I saw them in the theater. I just . . . They're so long!

Re: Theatrical Cut vs Director's Cut/Extended Edition
Also, I definitely prefer the Extended Edition of 'The Two Towers,' but I could take either version of the other two.
Re: Theatrical Cut vs Director's Cut/Extended Edition
The Hobbit films... Well, I liked the extended versions less, but there were a few nice scenes added, so I don't begrudge their existence.
