I'm actually the same despite having a brother and a sister, but I think there might be something there about wishing I was closer to my brother.

And here I am shipping these two, albeit somewhat casually...

That said, I'm not all that close with my brother (even though I'm living with him atm, because my house was flooded) and don't think of him when viewing fictional sibling relationships. IDK why.

As someone with an older brother, I'd say you dodged a bullet. Older brothers fucking suck imo. Brother-sister relationships seem to work out a lot better if the sister is the older one, from what I've seen.
