His Trek was terrible. His Trek was a conglomeration of all the meme versions of what nerdboys like to pretend Star Trek TOS was like, which is absolutely nothing like TOS. TOS Kirk was an obnoxious heavy-handed liberal who shared the Love Interest Of The Week storyline rotation with Spock, Bones, and Scotty and tended to wax poetic about finding the right girl and marrying her and raising some kids while making sure to nod to her right to birth control, abortion access, and her equality as a person.

It would be like if Hannibal was supposed to be a Little Shop of Horrors reboot with Hannibal as Seymour.
