Yes, that's true, but I'm of the thinking that unless they officially say something about a character's mental disabilities, that people shouldn't go around diagnosing fictional characters with them.

You literally said people shouldn't headcanon fictional characters in a particular way (disabled). That is being the erasing fun police. Why's it hurting you that you demand people don't headcanon in ways you don't like? What's so special about your headcanons that they're allowed but others are not?
