I've never seen it but I honestly didn't think anyone gave a crap about this movie, aside from the soundtrack. Like the biggest Prince fan I know wouldn't defend it.

It might be a Minnesota thing more than a Prince thing.

Exactly. It's just as bad if you don't love "Miracle". People don't tend to know Minnesota for anything other than the cold. It doesn't matter how well our teams do or if a film is made there that doesn't feature snow or accents that really aren't ours (shut up, Fargo!). So we tend to hold onto anything Minnesotan. Prince, Bob Dylan, Eddie Cochran, Marian Ross, Herb Brooks, the Replacements, and on: they're ours. Even if you don't like their work, they're ours.
