You don't need BPD to do that, and not everyone with BPD does that

Read the diagnostic criteria. That is a HALLMARK of BPD.

If you take away the abuser symptoms in the BPD diagnostic criteria, you don't get diagnosed with BPD. You'd get depression, or bipolar, or possibly something else.
