Maybe it's that distancing thing.

I mean I'm a bi girl and I read f/f but it doesn't do it for me as often because I can read about the characters doing a certain act and I'm comparing it to my experiences and it's "i wouldn't like that".

But I'll also read m/m and I'm still getting a gay story but one I'm less likely to compare to my experiences. Cuz I don't really know what things feel like for guys.

Wow, this makes a LOT of sense! I think that's definitely one reason why m/m is more appealing to me than anything with a female character in it - I love het and femslash romance, even ones with very steamy and erotic observations or thoughts, but the actual smut just leaves me unmoved in most cases.

this. I noticed I (cis-female) get the same reaction "I wouldn't like that" reaction from gay couples involving dudes with vaginas.

Well, that's kind of honestly you just projecting and assuming most trans men's genitals feel the same way that cis women's genitals do. They really, really don't. (Same for most trans women.) After a couple years on T I have a 3 inch penis (I could not be happier with my growth on T!), it's a thousand times easier to get off (I had anorgasmia issues before T), and I really do get off more like a cis guy than anything resembling a cis girl. I have a fleshlight specifically made for trans men and our anatomy and it's pretty much my go-to. The only similarities left over from before is that I still enjoy penetration--in both holes. (Why is there not more smut where trans guys take it in the ass? This is probably one of my top two favourite sex acts!)
