Sure, I know that some people use that feature basically as a way to bookmark. OP only referenced reviews/PMs asking for completed stories to be extended, I thought.

And personally I think of my favorites as a list of anything I would rec to someone else. It's not necessarily a reference for rereading, but it's the stories that deserve a little more than a positive review.
