Re: Dark Souls

I finally finally finally saved up enough to get a PS4 and Bloodborne, and I'm having so much goddamned fun with it that I've been flailing at basically everyone. I could be happy just wandering around looking at things, it's so beautiful.

I got through the Cleric Beast on my second try, but Father Gascoigne is absolutely ruining my shit so far lmao. I'm pretty good at getting him down to the point where he transforms, but then I panic and make a ton of stupid mistakes that get me killed. I just need to remember to chill out, use visceral attacks, and remember I have the music box if I need it.

I really love that despite its difficulty, it's fair. When I die, I know it's my own fuck-up, and that's what makes beating something feel so great. Aaaahhhh I really love it!

I got in on the ground floor with Demon's Souls and that was basically how I felt about it including the flailing lol.

Remember that with Father Gascoigne you can always run away and ring him - use the objects in the terrain to your advantage, that's advice for every boss fight, really.

You're in for a treat - it only gets better, and more bleakly, grotesquely wonderful from there!

Bloodborne is as good as Dark Souls imo, so you started in a great place.
