Re: Casual/intense fan awkwardness

One time at a Suncoast in the mall I found a used subbed DVD of Sailor Moon (back when it was still OOP) and bought it and one of the girls who worked at the store started chatting with me about the show. At first I was like 'Yay, a fellow Sailor Moon fan :D' except she proceeded to follow me to the door and the discussion basically turned into her telling me the entire plotline of S, SuperS and Stars even though I said I'd already seen them (one thing I remember in particular was when talking about S she said 'What a lot of people don't know is that Rini's -- or rather, Chibiusa's -- friend Hotaru is actually Sailor Saturn' and I had to bite my tongue to keep from saying 'Everyone knows that, because it's a *fucking plot point*'). I had to make some thin excuse to get out of there or she would've talked to me all day.
