Don't do it, anon. I know too many people who have gotten tattoos (fandom or otherwise) and regretted them to ever think that getting a tattoo is a good idea, and getting one removed is expensive and painful.

Seconding the above anon's suggestion of doing a temporary tattoo instead, or you could do what I did and get a piece of jewelry made in the shape of the symbol you like. That way you can wear it but take it off whenever you need/want to.
