I watched Remains of the Day a few weeks ago and realized why I hate romantic tension in 23-episode shows. It's like watching a 23-hour cut of Remains of the Day.

"Oh, hey, I'm going to talk about the proper way to dust the nick-knacks rather than anything to do with the feelings that are obviously just under the surface of my body language and the scripted situation. How about them fish forks!"

That annoys the crap out of me no matter what the subject is. Just effin TELL someone what you think! All this dancing around what could be resolved in five minutes is ridiculous, on screen or off.
