Every day I tell myself, tonight after work, you're going to do something productive and cool, like make some art, write a letter, redecorate a room, cook a new meal, etc.

Then I come home from work, eat cereal for dinner, surf the web and masturbate, then go to bed. What is my problem.

Mental exhaustion. Try doing new things in the morning. Get up a little early, put a healthy meal in the crock pot, for instance, or draw something.

I mean, it might not work, but most people find they are more productive in the morning, and sometimes that's the only way to get in the "extra" things they want to do.

These are just examples, btw. I found this book really insightful for forming new habits (focus on writing but could be other things, too): http://www.amazon.com/Lifelong-Writing-Habit-Secret-Smarter-ebook/dp/B014V7PXV8

Try doing stuff that takes 5 to 25 minutes to do and make sure that it doesn't get done at the end of the day.

Even if it's just origami, writing a postcard, fixing a new snack, or cleaning up one shelf and sticking a mug with a flower in it, you'll feel a little more accomplished. If you get around to this stuff once or twice a week, you'll be surprised at how much you can do.

Man work is tiring and also commuting is tiring as hell. I'm not sure if there's a problem, beyond that. it's frustrating and tiring and sucks. Total sympathy from me.
