I'm trying to get my Data sim abducted by aliens in Sims 2, and since I don't use cheats, it's taking FOREVER. I KNEW I should have made him a logic sim with a secondary family aspiration instead of vice versa. I just thought family fit so well with his desire to be human.

I wish my apartment building had a garbage chute. Especially during the winter, I hella hate going down floor flights of stairs (and putting a coat and shoes/boots on) just to toss a bag of garbage or some recyclables out.

My front garden is one of the only ones on the block that really encroaches on the sidewalk. As a result, garbage blows into it all the time.

This makes me irrationally irritated, because it looks like people are just throwing shit in my garden.

one of the comms on lj I was in I got kicked out of because I had (yet another) dissenting opinion.

This after the owner pushed out the other moderators with no explanation.

only issue is they live nearby, but if they're so passive aggressive, I guess I can't expect them knocking down my door, huh?

I wish my friend had just chosen matching bridesmaid dresses for us, rather than opened it up to anything we like for ourselves in a selected color range. We all have such different taste and styles. :\

I'm tired of seeing those freaking promposals, where someone has an elaborate proposal for a Very Special Person (read: they have autism, they have Down Syndrome, they're in a wheelchair, etc)

The thing is that I actually get the impression in some cases that it's well-meant, and the kids have no idea they're being patronizing. But I can't help but wonder how many of these "special guests" go to the prom with their "friends" and end up being ditched.

If my boss gets any angrier, he'll turn into the Incredible Hulk. My co-workers mostly mean well, but they keep taking shortcuts and not paying attention, and every time someone in management calls to berate him for their fuck-ups, their rank is higher than the last person who called. We finally got to the point where the president of the company called to berate my boss for something that was entirely a co-worker's fault, and my boss got to the point where he threw boxes at the floor while screaming "FUCK!" at the top of his lungs. I love my boss, and he never takes his anger out on us, but I seriously think he needs to quit and find a job where he's actually respected.

Goddamn I hate shaving. My options are a sharp blade to my neck or a buzzing electric device that contrary to the product description seems to work by yanking the hairs out of my face. And not even all the hairs!

The nasty people in the area where I live. Trash all over the place, useless outdated farm equipment everywhere. And they pee in all the bus shelters, so even when it's raining, I have to stand outside waiting for the bus.

I had to put a personal project of mine on hold for a variety of reasons (mostly time-related), and I feel like a colossal failure because of it. :/

Oh, and the "I feel like I'm going to die any moment" type of anxiety? That's been happening a lot lately. I don't know why/how, either, because for all intents and purposes (outside of the above), things have been fairly decent lately. I wish it would stop.

On the one hand, I was happy my writing muse came back last night. On the other hand I've barely slept because I can't stop writing. Got 3 out of the 4 gift fics done that I wanted to get done, which is nice. But still, I need sleep.

I'm starting to agree with the quieter but persistent perception that as time goes on, a particular celebrity I've liked and respected since fairly early in their career is getting more fake and obviously distanced.

Which is only a mild frustration, because that's the Hollywood game. I have no doubt some of the 'fakeness' and distance (they used to be quite close with fans) is what's necessary not only to survive the industry but some of the weirder fans.

Eh, whatever.

Sometimes my brothers get on my nerves. Well, I have two, so maybe I'm getting along with one and the other is annoying...sometimes vice versa...

I like them both but sometimes it's hard to get along with everyone, especially if they're being sarcastic or what I would consider obnoxious.

I have a big project due tomorrow. I was slogging away at it when the Metropolitan Museum's website search function went down. Yeah, there's still the V & A and a whole bunch of smaller sites, but the Met has a nice big collection and photos from multiple angles and ... sigh. I also have a huge pile of reference books and no scanner.

Every day I tell myself, tonight after work, you're going to do something productive and cool, like make some art, write a letter, redecorate a room, cook a new meal, etc.

Then I come home from work, eat cereal for dinner, surf the web and masturbate, then go to bed. What is my problem.

I ordered a book that had a specific cover in the product image. It came today, with a completely different, hideous cover. I poked around a bit and found the version I wanted...for 100 dollars. So, okay, it's really old and rare but why can't bookselling sites have accurate images! It's the same book inside, I'm sure, but I am a fan of old cover art and I feel lied to.
