Re: A thread for your mild frustrations

My front garden is one of the only ones on the block that really encroaches on the sidewalk. As a result, garbage blows into it all the time.

This makes me irrationally irritated, because it looks like people are just throwing shit in my garden.

Why don't you go out every morning or evening and pick it up?

Uh... I do. What in the world makes you think I wouldn't?

You're Herpy. Complaining and feeling superior is kind of your schtick.

That logic doesn't follow.

Too many words?

You're the type of person who, instead of fixing their problem, would leave it so they can complain about it.

Sounds like you're projecting pretty hard.

I project my cock into your mom's ass. At least she has a colon.

Are you even trying anymore?

People shouldn't toss their trash, but your garden shouldn't be encroaching on the sideewalk, either.

MTE, c'mon Herp aren't you supposed to be a better class of human being? You sure seem to think you are. Show some respect for your neighborhood and get your little hippie garden in check. Who even grows a garden in FRONT?

AYRT

tbf, front-yard gardens are awesome. Way better than useless grass everywhere.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-02 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't have a front yard, but if I did, I wouldn't plant vegetables in it. My neighborhood is filled with shitty people who'd trample it and throw their garbage in it on purpose.

Wait what. When did I say I had vegetables in my front garden? I don't, fyi.

The fuck is a garden for then?

Flowers, anon. Flowers and shrubs and everything your little heart desires.

That's not an insult.

Late to the party, but your response to this thread just wins everything.

Also Sneak asks what flowers you have.

Too many to count! A huge lilac, two towering butterfly bushes (trees at this point), a topiary shrub which produces cone-shaped purple flower clusters (which I have trimmed into a lovely shape), a blood red rhododendron and a yellow-orange azalea, a big lavender bush, a decorative Japanese maple... I just finished taking out an ugly fennel plant so I can put more stuff in.

I want MORE RHODOS. But those will probably end up going in the back yard.

It was like that when we bought it. Also, we have a copy of the sidewalk encroachment permit that the previous owners got from the city when they put it in, so there's nothing untoward going on.

I love the usage of the word untoward in the context of a garden. Like if there was something untoward going on, it might be buried bodies or something of that ilk. XD

Re: A thread for your mild frustrations

[personal profile] herpymcderp 2016-05-03 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Speaking of possible bodies... When we were renovating the basement we did find some women's clothing that looked like it was from the 30's or 40's stuffed into one of the walls.

Didn't find any bones or anything, but it's entirely possible there's a skeleton in the foundation somewhere.

Wow. Did you keep it? Post pictures!

Re: A thread for your mild frustrations

I did not keep them. They were in pretty bad condition and not really worth much of anything.
