I ordered a book that had a specific cover in the product image. It came today, with a completely different, hideous cover. I poked around a bit and found the version I wanted...for 100 dollars. So, okay, it's really old and rare but why can't bookselling sites have accurate images! It's the same book inside, I'm sure, but I am a fan of old cover art and I feel lied to.

I hear you!
I've had this frustration happen with a paperback worth only a couple of bucks; I could easily retry and get one with the cover I want, but what am I going to do with the first one?

AYRT - Another book that I got with that order was one I forgot about buying online and saw in a used bookstore. I was so excited to see it that I grabbed it so now I have two...I'm going to donate the spare. There are stores that have free book bins around here, plus libraries and thrift shops. Or you could sell it online! With an accurate picture.

Oh yeah, that happened to me too. Several times. You would think I'll learn, and yet...

Lmao I feel like we are book-buying soulmates.
