My most charitable interpretation is "maybe she had a trigger she didn't realize she had and realizing that upset her and so she lashed out at you instead of admitting it."

I wasn't saying that het was the trigger. "JerkAss Beta had an unexpected trigger that she dealt with badly" and "JerkAss Beta didn't want to beta a story that interfered with her favorite slash ships" were two different possibilities.

Who knows, maybe the beta in question had an ex who called her a skank, or something, and rather than adulting up, owning her own goddamn trigggers, and saying "I'm sorry, I thought I didn't have any limits but apparently I do, so I don't feel comfortable betaing this story," she decided to go full dickbag on her friend.
