Check out the Pygmy Goat. People keep them as pets.

NA. Goats are the smartest, most creative and coziest creatures, but they can't control their sphincters (their poop comes pearling out of them when it wants to). But if you could have bred that out of them you would have an ideal pet right there.

Dunno about Pygmy Goats but anon! You can totally train Miniature Goats to be toilet trained and go potty in a particular location! Sure they can't hold their poop for hours on end like a dog, but the solution is to just have a toileting spot available like you do with cats (and rabbits).

Goat needs to go? Goat goes to designated toilet location! Doggie doors are awesome.

It's legal to keep them where I live, but only as a pair, because otherwise they destroy everything from loneliness and boredom. And they need a big yard free of poisonous-to-goats things, and a high fence.

That is true, they will destroy everything you own and love. But they are adorable while doing it!

(Where I live, mini goats are a no-no :( However my dad has some so i get my fix every year or so!)
