That kind of thing would happen to me with anime girl characters that had super long hair, I've never been able to grow it that long and beautiful and I was secretly jealous of them.

OMG A Shaman King secret! I thought Yoh was the shit when I was a kid and I tried wearing my headphones like that, but they always slid off. I tried imitating so anime hairstyles, but the one I spent the most time on wasn't even from an anime (Miho's hairstyle in Megatokyo).

I rarely watched the actual episodes, but I remember tuning in every week just to listen to the theme song!! So great.

Go to Japan and you'll find people with hair that looks like (slightly more realistic versions of) that.

No seriously, Asian hair is thicker and it's easier to gel up into spiky dos. It's sorta like Black hair. White people have finer hair, on average (especially blondes).

Usually if you see guys with massively gelled up hair like that, they're hosts, though.
