Oh, absolutely. I've never turned on my anon asks for that reason. But I think what makes it difficult for many to turn it off is that this means their messages drop down to almost nothing. They _could_ shut down the trolls, but it'd mean giving up all those anon fan messages and cutesy "notice me senpai" stuff.
