The cat because it is the least silly looking.

I was very tempted by Litten at first, but I think by now Rowlet has won me over. Dapper little round owl ♥

saaame. though honestly my final decision gets made once I see the final evolutions. I can see litten getting a ridiculous cat beard in the end.

Popplio 4 lyfe

Popplio because I feel sorry for it already. And it's not my favorite design, but its little happy jump in the preview animation is so cute.

Rowlet. I always pick the grass starter anyway but he's so cuuuuuute.

Fire kitty!

Rowlet because it's so damn cute, and its typing is cool. I'll have to see final evos before making a final decision though. Litten is also pretty cool looking and has potential to grow into a really badass final evo. Typings will interest me too. Unfortunately I think Popplio looks hideous :( I hope its later evos are cooler.

On that note what do you guys think the final typings will be? Rowlet starting out as Grass/Flying makes it likely that its final form will also be Grass/Flying. People seem to think the fire tiger will be Fire/Dark, which would be predictable but pretty cool (two of my favorite types). Someone suggested Fire/Poison though which I think would be rad (yay for new type combos!). For Popplio I'm thinking Water/Ice, but pure Water, Water/Fairy and Water/Psychic have been put forth as options, and I think I saw someone say Water/Fighting. Ice would be neat because we haven't had a starter with Ice before. (I don't care if all the other pinniped water Pokemon have been part Ice. It's been a while since we've even had one of those.)

It looks so much like Oshawatt to me that I assumed pure water but it would be cool to have a dual water/fighting or water/ice starter. The bubble move makes me think psychic is more likely though.

but actually water dog is pretty cute too, and of course I can never decide 100% until i see the final evos, but for now GRASS BIRD

I'm torn between Litten and Rowlet. I guess it depends on what their evolved forms look like. And who knows, poor Popplio's evolutions might redeem it entirely!
