I couldn't even make it halfway through the book. It's so FUCKING LONG. And I don't knock long books, but it's not even super interesting most of the time.

How am I supposed to be upset by all of this traumatic storytelling if I can't get into it?!

Wow, I just checked, and it's almost 500 pages O_O I somehow remembered it being shorter (then again, I devoured the book, so there's that).

I remember taking it to the beach with me on vacation (great beach read!!!! good idea me!!!!) and devouring the first third and then like, once they got to that second rabbit warren things just slowed to a halt. I was disappointed.

Well, it's an epic journey, of course it's gonna be long. Very worth it though. How many stories feature doomed lapine muses singing odes to the shining wire that kills them?

It's one of my favorite books and I can't imagine finding it boring, but... maybe try the animated movie instead to get the gist of it.
