Because I've been listening to Love Yourself by Justin Bieber on repeat lately, what is a song you love by an artist you usually can't stand?

Related to above. Starships by Nicki Minaj.

I normally can't stand her. Funnily enough, I saw you talk about 'Where Them Girls At' and went 'Aww, I actually kinda like that one.' I would like Starships more if it didn't do that weird screechy dog whistle autotuned part.

That's how I feel about her, except with Roman's Revenge. The lyrics are awful, but I love the sound so much. Also true for Eminem for the same song, except I do like maybe one or two other of his songs.

Oh god, I love that one too. It's too damn catchy. And my friend put her baby in a shirt that says "my mama don't like you and she likes everyone," so for that alone I will always love that song.

It's such a good line. I'm not gonna lie, while I like the whole song now that I've heard it (except maybe Justin humming awkwardly over the trumpet solo), I bought it specifically for that line.

'Wildest Dreams' by Taylor Swift. I have an irrational dislike for Swift (even though she seems like a decent person) for reasons I really can't explain, but that particular song is quite lovely. Probably because I've heard it at least once a day on the radio we have on at work, lmao.

'Glory Days' by Bruce Springsteen. Never liked Springsteen. Never. And since my father worked in classic rock radio for a few years, I had to put up with his toad-like voice that's nails on chalkboard to me, lmao. But this particular song of his just works for me for some reason.

'Paint it Black' and 'Gimme Shelter' by the Rolling Stones. I won't deny the Stones are good at what they do, but I can't say I've ever cared for them outside of these two songs... and only these two songs.

'Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting' by Nickleback and Kid Rock. This one probably doesn't count since it's a cover song, but it's probably the one and only time I've been able to stomach both, lmao.

I really love Swift, so I'm a bit biased, but Wildest Dreams really is just a nice little song. It's very bittersweet.

I don't actually know any of the other songs, oops, so I can't comment on them.

I find this interesting because the original version of "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" is widely rumored to be Elton John's attempt at a Rolling Stones song!

Justin Bieber is remarkably on fire lately. Both Love Yourself and Sorry are surprisingly enjoyable considering how much I've disliked him historically. It helps, I think, that those were both collaborations

I haven't heard Sorry yet. But I've always felt that Bieber gets a lot more hate than he's actually earned. His music isn't any worse than any other pop song, and while he has definitely done some douchy/idiotic/dangerous things, he's not actually being any more idiotic than a lot of teens his age, poor judgement comes with the territory. It's just that we see it more because a) vicious feedback loop that comes from getting famous when you're a teen and it going to your head along with normal 'I am invincible' teen behavior and b) other teenage boys don't have 24/7 stalkers with cameras to capture their idiocy.

Another Brick in the Wall pt 2 and Hey You by Pink Floyd. (And not even the whole track of either...the last third(?) of Hey You I could do without, and I always turn Another Brick off when the ranting teacher bit starts.) In the right mood I can enjoy Comfortably Numb, too.

I heard Another Brick over and over through my childhood so I have a nostalgic fondness for it.

Sexyback by Justin Timberlake. Can't stand him otherwise.

I like this song a lot and I feel weird about that. It's so fun to dance to! (I pine for the days of old, when clubs played actual songs, with lyrics and everything.)

I'm not gonna lie, I consistently forget he has a career outside of Sexyback.

I don't hate One Direction by any means but I'm not a fan--but I LOVE "Girl Almighty."

Yeah, I don't actively seek them out either, but if you put on Best Song Ever I will dance. Every time.

Not gonna lie, I rather like "Sorry" by Justine Bieber. I can't stand that kid, but he does have some catchy songs.
