Considering lots of people who have actually been raped said the book helped them, you're being selfish and short-sighted to anti-recommend it.

So if a bunch of rape victims liked the book it's wrong for a person to have a negative opinion on it because of how it effected them?

It's not like the person they're anti-reccomending it too have to listen to them. They can get a second opinion.

No, they didn't way it was wrong for the OP to have a negative opinion. They didn't say that anywhere in their post, so why are you even asking them that?

Their comment was entirely directed at the fact that the OP was anti-recommending it.

and they're allowed to do that.

Like I said, the person they're giving advice to can always choose to ignore. Also the book can be triggering for someone just as much as it can be helpful.

Again telling the OP they're selfish for advising against reading a book because it triggered them because some people like it is a dick move.
