To be honest there are two main conditions that have to be fulfilled for me to enjoy an ot3 or more type situation.

1, it has to be written in a pretty thoroughly positive way. Not that there can never be issues - but I think there are certain writers and readers who enjoy the idea of dysfunctional relationships and jealousy as tropes, and that doesn't work for me in general and ESPECIALLY not in ot3 type scenarios. Extremely posi only.

2, it has to be really well-written in general in order to overcome my basic lack of comfort with the idea and to prevent me from writing my own issues with IE self-belief, self-confidence, self-image onto the characters. It's a high bar.

Agreed. I'm super poly-positive, but it's not something that will fix what's already broken.

Your second point articulated exactly why I almost never attempt to read OT3 fic.
