I think pet names can fit any canon. Maybe you don't like pet names, but how people act in an intimate relationship often has little to do with how they act while fighting bad guys or hanging out with friends. How do you know?
Of course, I love pet names... ;)

Everyone on F!S seems to violently hate them for some reason. It really only makes sense when they're stupid names :/
