Another Brit here, and I totally agree with you. It's also teaching kids that it's okay to break the rules to save you money. No. Holidays are more expensive in the summer because demand is higher. If you can't afford to go abroad, stay in the UK.

No, wait. I mistyped that, Barrow-in-Furness is nice at no time of year. The Isle of Whithorn is nice though. If you can get over the fact that it (a) is not an Island, and (b) is fifteen miles away from actual Whithorn.
