Seven years after it got stale, Castle is finally cancelled. Thank god.

I feel a little bad for Seamus Dever and Jon Huertas, who gave their most handsome years to a show where 90 percent of what they did was bust into rooms yelling with guns waving or cockblocking Castle with mundane information. But I guess the got paid handsomely for it, so.

NAYRT - LOL. Accurate.

I wish they'd get their own spinoff, although it could be awkward. I found them much more interesting.

They were why I kept watching for as long as I did. They each got a couple really strong episodes that made all the wasted potential so much harder to deal with.

Until I started working in the industy, I felt bad for actors like them. But the truth is, they were probably intensely thankful for that show every time it renewed their contracts. The majority of actors have the maturity and realism to recognize that a good Best Case Scenario for them to aim for is never having to work a secondary job in order to pay their bills and live comfortably. If they can just be actors they've made it, they've succeeded, they're a-okay.
