Why though? The fic sounds like some obnoxious killjoy trying to guilt people who like something.

What sailorptah says, basically. Though now that OP has more clearly described the situation, I can say that in this case, the fic in question doesn't sound like the kind of thing I was thinking of.

If this fic author had written a fic exploring the dysphoria and general alarm a person would probably feel if they suddenly woke up with genitalia of the opposite sex, that would have been cool. But the way OP is describing it, it sounds like the author was entirely set against this kink and all they really wanted to do was to paint it as A Horrible Experience That Could Never Be Enjoyable or Sexy Ever. That seems pretty close-minded.
