The ones in the secret are more pulpy detective novels in a SF world than hard SF, so maybe that's why!

I like a good chunk of Asimov, & I don't like the Robot novels.

Why what? I haven't read them.
Maybe I should though because pulpy detective stories are great. I found the concepts in the Asimov I've read kind of dated and the characters nonexistent. I can take a little of that for a cool concept, but "Foundation" was not that.
