People close to me like to joke that I was a cat in a past life, but ultimately I don't believe in it, I think reincarnation is an interesting concept but it doesn't quite work when I think about it too much.

As for people remembering stuff that they shouldn't know, brains are fucking weird as hell and you can take in information without realising and have it turn into memories.
