That you couldn't have your period on your birthday, I was sadly disappointed.

Also when I was really little my grandma convinced me that if I did not wash m armpits properly, potatoes would grow there. (my grandmother was a strange woman, she also made me fear werewolves and snakes in toilets).

I didn't think you could cry on your birthday! Mine is dumber but both are disappointments.

Bodies: they work the same, regardless of dates! Lol

Speaking of weird shit grandmas told us, mine said she and I were connected by "a string" ALWAYS. It instilled some minor paranoia sometimes but boundaries weren't her thing.

You obviously weren't exposed to the works of the great philosopher, Leslie Gore

"It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you"

In a Facebook post I recently read about a woman who put a sweet potato in her vajayjay (because she had to wear a device there for some bladder/pelvic disorder and it got lost somehow so she just used the next best thing that was roughly shaped like it) and the potato actually took root in her lady parts and grew a leaf out of her, which was why she came in to the hospital.

'If you don't wash (bodily area) thoroughly, potatoes will grow there' is a pretty common admonition for kids. (I've mostly seen it about behind the ears, though.)
