To follow the potato trend, my grandmother made me believe that if I didn't peel potatoes before eating them, the peel would somehow attach itself to my appendix. Apparently that was what her mother told her, and she still won't eat potatoes without peeling them. I do though, and find some types of potatoes a lot better with the peel on.

Potatoes are more nutritious with the peel. Most of the vitamins are in or right next to the peel.
