(Anonymous) 2016-05-15 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)That's basically one of the things that cemented Phil Collins as "a punchline" sadly. He was depressed nearly to the point of suicide for awhile as a result of all the hate, and how many people thought he was a joke after the younger generation on the internet got ahold of him. I hate that kind of stuff, he seems like the most genuine, caring guy, and the hate is so unwarranted, even if someone happens to not like his music.
