When we were ten, we were CONVINCED that if we just thought hard enough, puberty would go EXACTLY the way we wanted it to.

...that did not end up working out.

(And this is why books like 'the Secret' make me so mad, because they're encouraging me to return to the same magical thinking and illogic of a ten-year-old.)
