Disney is always interested in diversity, depending on who you're talking to. If it's the higher ups they mostly care about what money brings in, but you can't say the individual animators don't care. A lot of them want more diverse movies, but they are bound by what the company is willing to put out. Since Disney is a major studio though, and not saying it's really something worth defending, they just won't quickly jump into making an LGBT focused movie. Real shame though since Dreamworks and Laika are kind of beating them to it even with just minor characters.
