Re: What's your favorite dog breed?
We have a tuxedo too! She's the princess and she knows it. Our other is a big fawn boy who is basically a big derp and I love him. He groans when you rub his ears right, is afraid of hardwood floors, and whines pitifully when you give too much attention to his sister. xD

My dog is vocal too. Lots of grumbling and weird happy growling noises. Like a confused motorbike.
Your pretty lady dog is reminding me that mine needs a bath. His white bits aren't exactly white right now.
Re: What's your favorite dog breed?
My dad thinks our girl's gotten a little gray since we got her (more than three years ago now, which is crazy!) but I haven't really noticed. I'd have to compare her to an older picture (like the one I linked) to be sure. The thought makes me sad though :( she's only five
Re: What's your favorite dog breed?
I have heard his actual menacing noise now because I startled him awake by accidentally slamming a door and I had a full body NOPENOPENOPE spasm of fear. Not that I think he'd be a very good guard dog. He's too friendly.
Do yours have tail banging problems? I can't get him to stop whipping his into walls when he's excited.
He's greying at 6 around the mouth. I think a lot of them start early even though they're a long living breed of large dog, so it's probably more to do with genetics than health. I tell him it looks distinguished.

He doesn't do much zooming either but sometimes he will run down the hall when he's really excited. Can scare people who are standing at the front door because it sounds like he's coming to get you. Really he just wants to see who it is and if he's getting pats.
They are good at unintentionally scaring the crap out of people though. He likes to sleep under my feet in front of my wheelchair when we go to the cafe and people don't see him until they're right next to him and they sometimes jump away. People assume he's a guard dog because he's so big and black.
Re: What's your favorite dog breed?
Our love to zoom but they only do it for 2-3 minutes, then they're done. It's fun to watch them do it in the backyard. She always goads him into it and likes to mess with him because she's more agile and can cut him off easily, but he has a longer stride so when he really gets going he goes fast.
Lately he hasn't been able to run because he hurt his foot. :( He somehow impaled it on a small stick. He'll be fine, but it takes time to heal so my parents are only taking him out on the leash, because if he runs he could hurt it more or delay it from healing, and he's really antsy because he hasn't been able to blow off any steam. :(
