Personally, I enjoy the fanservice and fun comments. I love when actors/creators can have fun and joke during interviews (and most of them don't sound condescending to me). A lot of them know about fanfic, slash, etc. at this point. I'd rather they have fun with it than make fun of it.

Then again, I don't follow any delusional shippers or go into the tags.

Same. I learned long ago to just enjoy shit on my own and don't talk to anyone in the fandom I don't know and like already.

But how can you get to know anyone in the fandom if you don't talk to them? Are they people you know in real life?

Because I have friends in fandom I've known for 10+ years. For the media they're not into, I just fangirl privately.

Yes. Queerbaiting is bad, but it's a lot better than the actors getting angry at people for shipping, which has sadly happened before with actors being homophobic towards gay fans.
